The MSCA is based in Melbourne, Australia. The association is comprised of an alliance between the following clubs:
There are typically 9 events per year, comprising Sprints (which are are speed events, usually four 12-15 minute sessions of consecutively timed flying laps of a Victorian race circuit) and a hill climb. To be eligible for entry to an event, the competitor must be a member of one of the listed clubs (fees vary depending on club from approximately $55 per year), hold a CAMS Level 2 licence (that can be purchased for approximately $90 p.a. from any of the clubs) or, for AASA events, a CAMS licence or a AASA licence (approximately $45) and have a motor vehicle that is safe and complies with the supplementary regulations of the meeting. For this season, it should be noted that entries must be received by the Competition Secretary at least four days prior to the listed event, however, late entries may be considered if field size allows. Due to the ever growing interest in the Association and the number of 'Non-Marque' entrants, the number of classes has been increased to fourteen:
